Our 2018 Winter Tour Begins!

We are on the road again!!!
Our departure date was Jan. 8th.

This is an exciting time for our family! We always look forward to this part of our year with anticipation and joy.
It is not always easy to be on the road for such a long period of time (about six weeks). But every year God proves himself to be faithful and uses us in ways of his chosing.
We can't wait to see what He'll do this year! So many opportunities to serve! Not only in churches, but also in various prisons in a couple of states.

Matthew, in the "seat" for a turn at driving.

Our first day of driving took us to some good friends of ours in Iowa for the night. We caught this gorgeous sunset on our way down.

The next day we drove to Kansas City where we stopped at a music shop. It was fun trying out their beautiful instruments!

And of course we had to get a picture of the banjos they had there! ;)

After our visit to the music shop we met our uncle at AppleBees for dinner.
It's not to often we get to see this dear man. Our time with him was special!

Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church

Our first show was in Enid, Oklahoma at a cowboy church.
We were all very suprised to see that our concert was held in a stockyard sale barn! Not to often do we get to sing and play in one of those.
We had a good turn out in spite of the chilly weather, and we are praising the Lord for his presence in our midst. People were blessed, encouraged, and a soul was one for Christ. We are so humbled to able to be a part of His work.

I'm posting this a bit late, so it would have been last week we had seven concerts in a row of just five days. Three of those were all on Sunday, which included two Hispanic churches in Oklahoma City. The cultural and language experience was very interesting!

These beautiful people hosted our family during our time spent in Oklahoma, City.

Last Tuesday we sang at a mission house in Guthrie, OK.
We arrived a little early, which gave us some time to sprawl out and practice a bit individually.

Miranda, on the guitar.

Allison, practicing up some dobro.

The guys getting the sound all tuned in for us.

Show time!

What a joy it is to share God's message to others in music and song.
We were all greatly blessed to serve at God's House Ministries. It was a fun night!

Another venue for us, at a church in Paden, Oklahoma.
Again we were blessed greatly!

"Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing.
Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him him, and bless his name.
For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."
Psalm 100
