Christmas Party

This Christmas season our church planned a party for last Tuesday evening.
Just about everyone was there except for the Skoggen family. We missed you guys...
There was lots of food, decorations, games, and good fellowship.

We arrived a tad bit early, so I took the opportunity to take some pictures of our setup.

The Borntrager family did a very good job at coming up with decorating, food, and game ideas.
I think it was very creative of them to come up with this hot chocolate/coffee bar. It was so cute and unique!

Time to eat!

Memories made with friends.

Shari Borntrager, Miranda, Desraie Bormtrager, and Allison.

Johanna Martin and myself.

Our wonderful parents, Bill and Cathy.

After dinner, our family played a few Christmas songs.

Afterwards we all grouped together and played some games.
It was a lot of fun!

"And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
And she brought forth her first born son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for him in the inn.
Luke 2:6-7

Family In Canada

Earlier this Fall we took a trip up to Canada and spent some time with my sister and her family. We were there for a total of four days.
We sang at a church in the town of Winkler Saturday night, and then Sunday we did a little concert at their church.
Sadly I didn't get any pictures of our family while we were singing, but I did get some of Leana. :)

Family is so precious...

Leana is growing so fast. It's hard to believe that she is two already! It's ridiculously cute to hear her talking and communicating with her parents. She's adorable!!!

Leana had lots of fun playing with her nurf gun.
And she had lots of aunts and uncles to help her use it.

Okay, so how does this work?

Aim!

I got you!!!

Arms up, Leana!

Andrea and Joel's next door neighbors have a little boy that is almost the same age as Leana.
The two of them are best buddies! Triston had lots of fun coming over one day and spending a couple of hours at their house.

Allison, putting the train track together.

Time with aunties...

November Snow

Usually we don't get snow until the end of November or the beginning of December. But this year the snow came a bit early and we were surprised to get around 5-6 inches.
The yard was so beautiful with the fresh white powder, I just simply had to get outside and take some photos.

"For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it."

Work at Home

Throughout the year our family's prayer was that we would be able to have our own bus, motor home, or trailer to use on our next winter tour. Our prayers were miraculously answered this summer when some dear friends of ours gave us their old motor home. A tree fell on it and it's been sitting, not being used for around two years. It needs work, but for the most part it is still in fairly good condition.
We feel greatly blessed and amazed at God's provision for our family...

Matthew, vacuuming the floor.

A good friend of ours volunteered his time and came over to help us with the work.

Daddy, doing some fixing on the roof.
If ya'll want to see more pictures of our project you can visit us on The Herrlinger Family Band on Facebook.

In the meantime, us girls spent time inside catching up on some sewing projects, school, and house chores.

Laurissa, sewin' away...

Miranda and Allison at their schoolwork.
