This nice warm Spring weather has found our family busy doing some outdoor projects.
First off, there is the "wood making" process that went on. There was lots of hard work involved!
One of the many wood/brush piles.
Matthew using the chainsaw and cutting some logs.
Miranda and Allison running the wood splitter.
Gotta roll the bigs ones in.
More splitting!
We piled our two pickups, plus our little red trailer which is not pictured, full of the cut and split wood.
Now time to unload and stack it.
Spring is here! Which means we'll be doing lots of gopher trapping.
Pocket gophers are nasty little buggers that can mess up a field like crazy, burrowing underground eating the alfalfa roots and making many piles. The neighbors don't like them and will pay for each gopher that is extinguished.
Getting em set.
And success!
We got some!
Towards the end of March we got some seeds started for our garden.
They are growing!
Here's Laurissa, tilling the garden for the first time this year.
Pretty soon we'll be planting!
And you know, you gotta have time for play, right?
Having fun on the four wheeler!
"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might: for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."
Ecclesiastes 9:10
