Outside House Work

A big project of ours has been to scrape and repaint the house. It was a big job, but with lots of help and team work, it got done pretty fast. We got the house done in about two and a half days.

This is what the house looked like after it was scraped, and before painted.
Dad wanted us girls to patch up some of the bare spots.
Here's Allison working on it.

We used a paint-sprayer to paint the house.

One of Dad's customers let us use his manlift.

~ And more scraping ~
We put paper over the windows so paint wouldn't splatter on them.

Hoffman Hills

About a week ago our family, and some other friends went hiking at Hoffman Hills.
It was a lot of fun hiking up hills, and eventually climbing the 97 stairs to get on top of the 80 foot tower.
I'm sorry to say I didn't take any pictures of the tower, but I did take quite a few from on top.

Here is one of the trails that led to the tower.

The trees were so beautiful.

A beautiful sight to behold!

Hobo Breakfast

For the 4th of July our Family was invited to a hobo breakfast along with some friends that attend our church.
Our family enjoyed it a lot!

~ Cans for our stoves ~

~ Dan Borntrager lighted the cans ~

~ Frying our breakfast ~

 The pancakes were delicious!

Jonathan Wiltrout had the idea of mixing blueberries with his.

Laurissa even tried frying part of a banana, but it didn't work that well.
It got very mushy!

~ Kara ~

I couldn't help but mix this picture in with the rest. It's so cute!

And Later a friend came over and gave us carriage rides.

The ride was amazing!
